Happy Teaser Tuesday Everybody!
My teaser is from the book 21st Century Courtesan by Eden Bradley
"I don't remember a man feeling as good to me as Joshua does. Maybe its the kissing-making out like teenagers. Like I haven't done since high school. His mouth was warm, sweet. God, I've forgotten how good it feels to kiss a man. Really kiss him. I am shivering all over"
I highly recommend this book, I will be following with a review for this book soon!

Pride and Pleasure
Pride and Pleasure
Written by Sylvia Day
Set in England in 1818, thief-taker (had to look it up, its an early police officer in England) Jasper Bond is hired by heiress Lady Eliza Martin to look into the mysterious accidents that have plagued her in what is to be her last season, before retiring for the country to live out the rest of her life in piece and quiet. Eliza has no plans of marrying, loving her privacy and books more then any man that has ever courted her. That is until she meet Jasper Bond. He is tall, broad, strong, handsome and nothing like any other man she has ever met. He is rough and rugged, standing out in a crowd where ever he goes. She is also nothing like any woman he had ever met as well, speaking her and being extremely intelligent about things other then the usual frivolous thing most other debutantes were interested in.
Eliza thinks she is being pushed to the alter by one of her suitors, most of them fortune hunters, and well in debt. Her hope is to flush out the man who wants her money so bad he`s willing to harm her to get it.
Though the list is long Jasper is sure he can catch the man trying to harm this delicate woman who intrigues him so. It isn't long before Jasper starts to notice the reason for all the fuss about Eliza. Her red hair, her soft freckles, they way she speaks her mind like no other woman he has met, before long he is craving her like the air he breaths.
Jasper, is nothing like the men she would see normally, he is of common stock and carries himself as such. As a thief-taker he associates with the right people for the job, but is he right for her?
While they make the rounds of the social elite Jasper plays his role well, too well in fact. Soon Eliza is finding herself wanting things she had never wanted before....passion... romance...Jasper Bond.
In return, Jasper cant stop thinking about the beautiful woman that needs so much protection.
After another "accident" Jasper decides that he can not risk her to anything else or, anybody else and makes his move, risking it all.
Her and himself.
This book is one of a few that Sylvia Day has written in a historical style, others include Seven Years to Sin, and The Stranger I Married. Even though our characters are set in the Victorian-age, Ms. Day does a wonderful job at making her novels hot and steamy with the right amount of dirty. Her attention to detail to the time periods helps carry the story along, as well as having well defined characters that are believable and like-able. Most of her male leads are your archetypal tall dark and handsome, but they all have their own personality that hooks the reader making you want to know more.
I love that she doesn't shy away from common vernacular, using words like pussy and cock. Nothing drives me crazy more then ridiculous words for the genitalia that no woman or man would ever use in the heat of the moment. She has her female characters often finding their sexuality, learning that being a good girls doesn't always mean being a good girl. I enjoy the way she makes even the most stuffy of characters loose themselves and submit to the animal within
If your looking for a book you can cuddle up with and REALLY enjoy, I recommend this read.
My suggestions is grab a glass of wine, light a few candles and soak in a hot tub while you read this book.
Its a wonderful way to spend some me time ladies! I would suggest you don't forget B.O.B when you crawl into the tub, believe me you'll want him near by. :)

Welcome to Tempting Tomes
WELCOME!
I just wanted to take a quick moment to first say thank you for taking the time out to read my new blog!
After thinking about it long time and some prodding from some very good friends, I have decided to do something with the amount of reading I do. My tastes range from Paranormal YA, Horror, Fantasy and Romance/Erotica, the latter being the most common.
This is new to me so please bear with me while I get into the swing of things. :)
As well as reviewing books, from time to time I will be asking my readers to take a look at my own work and give me feed back. Currently I am writing my own book, and soon I will be looking for feedback, :) I am hoping my readers can help me with that as well.
However for now I will be reviewing the collection of books I have accumulated over the last little while, I look forward to your feedback as well as your avid reading.
Thank you once more !
